Upon exploring the island over 900 to 1000 statues were found. These statues ranged from 6 foot to 56 foot in hieght. The natives on the island lived in grass huts and lacked the knowledge to carve them. The statues were also quarried and moved across the island. There has been much debate about who made them and moved them?<br>This Easter Island Collectable is made out of a very durable Poly Resin Material and is 9.5 inches (22.86 centimeters) tall by 4.5 inches (11.43 centimeters) wide by 3.5 inches (8.89 centimeters) deep and weighs 2 pounds (.907 kilograms). The hat is removable from the statue. These make great bookends or garden statues.<br>Easter Island Statue comes with a copy of 2 newspaper articles printed on parchment type paper. The newspaper articles are from papers that appeared in 1860 and 1934.<br>The Statue does not come with the circular display stand as shown in picture above.
