The brass Year of the Rooster medal is the first year of issue, and is by far the hardest to find. Not many were made. This restaurant gave out these medals for 12 years, starting with the year of the Rooster in 1969, during the New Year Festival time. Each year they gave out a different medal corresponding to the animal year that was coming up. This restaurant is no longer there, it was torn down years ago.
