VINTAGE TORONTO GILT TOKEN - ROYAL CANADIAN TOBACCO CO. GOLDEN VIRGINIA TOBACCO

Description

This vintage token advertised tobacco products from the Royal Canadian Tobacco Company in Toronto
.  The front of the token has the name and city of the company plus the words
GOLDEN VIRGINIA CIGARETTE & PIPE TOBACCO GOOD LUCK TOKEN
.
The reverse has the product logo and the words
GOOD LUCK TOKEN
.
This token was very well-struck with great detail, and it appears to be a proof strike - with very bright, mirror-like fields.
The diameter is approximately 32 mm (1-1/4"), and the composition is brass with a very bright gilt surface treatment.
This item is in extremely fine to almost uncirculated condition, with no apparent actual wear, light signs of handling, and limited toning/soiling.  The token remains a very bright gold color (not evident in photos at all).
The illustrations in this listing are photos of the actual item being offered for sale, serving as part of the description.  NOTE: The photos did not turn out well at all.  The actual token is much lighter in color (with a very good gold color), much brighter, and much more attractive than is evident in the photos.
