Vintage mid-century era carved wood tiki Hawaiian figurine. This one is BIG, a tiki god or goddess standing 15" tall x 5" wide x 4 1/2" deep and weighing 4 pounds 14.2 ounces. She bears the maker's sticker on the back. Carved by Lina Vizcarra-Dandasam in the Philipines. Gorgeously crafted with attention to detail, reminscent of the Witco style though we know the artist. The god is slightly crouched with tight fists and an open mouthful of teetch. Eyes closed and long hair down the figure's back. Truly a breathtaking piece of tiki art. Very good condition, a few minor scuffs consistent with age. Make this the centerpiece of your collection.
