It's rare and It's remarkable ROYAL DUX BOHEMIA ART NOUVEAU TWO LADIES of THE SEA LARGE FIGURINE ON SHELL. C1860-1914  15 X 14 Inches
This stunning antique centerpiece is in excellent condition and very detailed with only a small hairline crack on the bottom of the base and no chips, breaks, or repairs noted. Please take a look at the pictures provided. Beautiful ladies on a huge seashell. What an amazing conversation piece for any collector's home!
Please note the famous pink triangle mark at the bottom places this lovely piece at the very earliest production period.
In the first period of manufacture, 1860 to WW I, the letter E is impressed in the center of the pink triangle. E represents Eichler, the founder's surname. The letter in the center of triangles changes over the years. It's important to keep in mind that E is the earliest.
Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur, or Dux Porcelain Manufactory, was started in 1860 by Eduard Eichler in what was then Duchov, Bohemia. This high quality porcelain is now referred to as Royal Dux.
