History
░░░░░
The boot that changed history was first introduced in 1968 as 'King Eusébio' after the legendary Portuguese striker who top-scored with nine goals at the 1966 World Cup in England - then worked with PUMA to develop a signature football boot, which debuted two years later.
These miniature replica boots were autographed by the famous Portuguese football (soccer) player Eusébio, the king, the black panter, as it became known, who died in 2014.
He made his debut in the Portuguese National Team on October 8, 1961.
In 1966, wearing the jersey of the corners, was one of the protagonists of the World Championship of 1966 played in England. With a phenomenal performance, Eusebio was one of the main Portuguese weapons for one of the best international campaigns ever. In the first World Cup, Portugal reached the quarter-finals, leaving teams like North Korea (the big surprise of the tournament shortly after Portugal), Hungary and Brazil (one of the main favorites, of a great team stood out the number 10, Pelé). Portugal ended up defeated against the home team in a game known as "Jogo das Lágrimas", which was marked by challenges to the organization of the tournament.
Eusébio's record of goals scored in the 1966 FIFA World Cup was recorded as the highest.
Eusebius obtained his last internationalization on October 19, 1973.
