    Description

    Trade Dollar from Manitoulin Island in Lake Huron dated for year 2000. Annual issue. I managed to collect a few different years last trip to the island. .00 denomination. Depicts Ojibwe (Indian) Cultural Foundation on front with the entire island shown on back. Known as a Haweater dollar so named for the small Hawberries that seem to grow wild on the island.
    About 1 1/4 inches diameter or 32 mm, either aluminum or possibly nickel alloy as many of these were made from that material mined in nearby Sudbury.
