ANTIQUE MOSER BULB VASE Czech Art Glass
An attractive, 19th century art glass, bulb/hyacinth vase likely produced by Moser, of the (now) Czech Republic
Features a beautifully hand decorated enamel floral motif with pink, white, gold and blue. A lime green fade into clear glass, from the top down creates a novel effect. Gilt highlights are found brushed on textured leaves (over sand or tiny fragments of glass so that rough to touch areas are accomplished) and striped along the top lip
The vase was hand blown and tooled during the second half of the 19th century. The top lip and base were both finely ground and polished. Enamel and gilt were subsequently applied
Very good condition. Enamel largely intact, if not entirely. Some loss to gilt highlights in areas. One tiny, pinhead sized flake is found on the outer edge of the lip
