Description
For sale isa nice saucer made by Meissen in about 1765. It is superbly hand painted with a central scene of a lady holding a cup in a landscape surrounding with a fancy scroll work / trellis design around it that is quite colorful and has rose garlands growing along it. Gold trim to the rim. The saucer is in great condition with some wear to the gold trim and a glaze star line near the lady's head. That is on the top glaze only and does not go through at all. The piece is 1.125 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. It is marked with the blue crossed swords mark underneath with the dot between the hilts and an impressed number near the foot ring. 18th century German Germany Unterteller Szene
