Description
Offered here for your consideration is an antique Meissen Porcelain Cup and Saucer.The cup is decorated with enamel painted flowers and a figural twig handle.
This item
dates to the mid to late 18th century.
It is in overall good, as-pictured used estate condition with no chips or cracks. There is some fritting and chipping to the feet, some losses in the enamel painting,
rubbing to the gold, fine and
light glaze and surface scratches here and there, and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
The cup and saucer are likely associated from separate sets. (The cup has a gilt rim and the saucer has a brown painted rim).
The bases both bear
blue underglaze crossed swords factory marks.

Cup: Height: ca. 2 3/4 in.; Width (including handle): ca. 3 5/8 in.; Diameter: ca. 2 3/4 in.
Saucer: Height: ca. 1 1/8 in.; Diameter: ca. 5 3/8 in.
