18thC Meissen Porcelain Cafe au Lait Strawflower Cup & Saucer Porzellan Tasse

For sale is
a great cup and saucer made by Meissen in about 1740 still after the Chinese design which later turned into the straw flower design. The set is hand painted in under glaze blue with flowers and a nice rim design but my favorite part is that the outside has a ribbed relief design which is colored in the cafe-au-lait ( milk coffee ) hue. Amazingly the set is in great condition after all these years with just a minor flea bite to the edge of the cup. The cup is 1.625 inches tall and 2.875 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.75 inches in diameter. They are both marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark that are straight with the dot at the ends as well as a blue painter's mark and an impressed number. 18th century German Germany Strohblumen antique Strohblume
